Not only is Colorado a great vacation state, but it also offers a good variety of wildlife for the hunter. Colorado boasts one of the largest elk herds in North America. Colorado also has mule deer, white tail deer, mountain sheep, mountain goats, moose, bear and the elusive Mountain lion. Colorado hunters have many of these trophy's listed in the rocord books. Although "record breakers" are harder to find, there are still some out there for the hunter who is willing to work hard for them.
